We're not sure when this new hair accessories trend took hold, but they are everywhere!  This new renaissance has been growing for the past year or so. It started innocently with some scrunchies from Mansur Gavriel and then Gucci took hold of the idea with their with a £300 crystal Gucci hair clip .

All of a sudden scrunchies, hair clips, extra large hair slides and headbands became an essential part of everyday wear, just like they were in the 90's.
